The school will replace Whyalla's three existing high school campuses - Edward John Eyre High, Whyalla High and Stuart High.

Key features of the design include:

  • A three-storey build with a STEM focused design.
  • Contemporary learning spaces, multi-level outdoor learning and social spaces.
  • Plaza at ground level with landscaping.
  • A double court gymnasium, expansive sporting fields and courts that can be utilised by the community.
  • Performing arts theatre.

The school is scheduled to open January 2022.

This project is estimated to support 240 full-time equivalent jobs per annum during the 2 year construction term, with 1,200 local people in total employed on site during this period.
