The Dublin Saleyard Access Upgrade Project aims to improve productivity and economic benefit by providing access for high productivity vehicles to the South Australian Livestock Exchange, and also improve road safety in the area.

The project includes works to upgrade the Port Wakefield Highway junction with Carslake Road, widen Carslake Road between Port Wakefield Highway and the Dublin Saleyard, and upgrade the entrance to the South Australian Livestock Exchange (Dublin Saleyards).

It will allow future provision for use of up 53.5m long triple road trains from Port Wakefield Highway to the Dublin Saleyard and improve safety at the junction with Carslake Road.

Works began in March 2021 with completion expected in mid-2021, weather permitting.

This project is jointly funded by the Australian and South Australian Governments (80:20) as part of the SA Rural Roads Package.
