The State Government is delivering a $21.4 million stimulus package for SA Housing Authority to undertake a construction program to build up to 100 homes by the end of June 2021, with the majority to be sold as affordable housing.

The 100 homes are being constructed on vacant surplus land owned by SA Housing Authority, that was developed through the Better Neighbourhoods program, that would have been sold.

71 of the dwellings have been designed to be sold as affordable housing. A range of builders are undertaking this work, including Centina, Simonds Homes, River Gum Homes and Qattro.

As of April 2021, 86 of the 100 dwellings were constructed and 86 were either settled or under contract. All dwellings will be completed by June 2021.
