The boardwalk upgrade in the District Council of Tumby Bay, will reopen one of Tumby Bay's older, more iconic attractions, the Mangrove Boardwalk.
The existing infrastructure is reaching the end of its life, and no economic options exist to remediate the existing infrastructure.
This will promote and enhance the district's pristine natural environment and provide access to everyone in the community, including the elderly, those restricted to mobility aids and young families with prams and toddlers
This project will include replacing the existing structure to ensure accessibility to provide free, unstructured recreational activities, and connecting the existing walking path loop through the marina area to the mangrove area.
This project is delivered through local council.
Total investment: $210,000 (council: $100,000, state government: $100,000, Eyre Peninsula Natural Resource Board: $10,000)
