The upgrade of Kington's three main streets, Hanson, Holland and Agnes Streets, will create a unified precinct with improved accessibility.

The project involves:

  • Widening footpaths and improved cross-overs to improve pedestrian access (for people of all ages and abilities).
  • Development of pedestrian nodes to accommodate alfresco dining and provide an environment for place activation initiatives.
  • Landscaping, tree planting and stormwater infrastructure.
  • Street furniture (seating, bike racks, bins), lighting and signage.

This project is delivered through local council.

Total investment: $1.34 million ($334,250 in state government grants).
