The project will construct a 1.8km non-stop roadway between Regency Road and Pym Street, linking the South Road Superway to the Torrens to Torrens Project, delivering a crucial link in the North-South Corridor.

The project comprises an at-grade motorway from the South Road Superway, an overpass of the motorway over Regency Road and an at-grade motorway from Regency Road to Pym Street, tranistioning to the lowered motorway of the Torrens Road to River Torrens Project.

The project will also deliver improved cycling and pedestrian facilities, a shared-use overpass over South Road near Pym Street and landscaping and noise barriers.

This project is expected to support approximately 210 full-time equivalent jobs over the construction period.

The Regency Road overpass opened to traffic in late March 2021.

This project is jointly funded by the Australian and South Australian Governments.

The lead contractor is McConnell Dowell - as part of the R2P Alliance.
