TQEH Stage 3 Redevelopment will deliver a new multi-deck car park, upgraded cardiac catheter labs and a new Clinical Services Building which will include:

  • 46 bay Emergency Department
  • 52 bed Rehabilitation Unit
  • 14 bed Intensive Care Unit
  • 12 operating theatres
  • 4 procedure rooms
  • Cardiac catheterisation laboratory
  • Recovery spaces
  • Central Sterile Supply Department
  • Medical Imaging Department
  • Pathology laboratory
  • Staff support areas

The project is a major redevelopment of The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and will commence the transfer of acute clinical services from the existing Tower / Podium Building into a new Clinical Services Building.  A new multi-deck car park for public parking and upgraded cardiac facilities will also be provided.

The Cath Lab Refurbishment was completed in June 2019 and new multi-deck car park was completed in October 2019.
