The Waikerie Riverfront and Trials Precinct project will make the Waikerie Riverfront more accessible and a destination of choice.

It will be a significant riverfront asset, creating a thriving community space that the whole community will access and be proud of.

The project will create a focal point for recreation and social activity, improve the local economy and celebrate local and river heritage.

Key highlights include:

  • A lawned amphitheatre event space social and cultural events, festivals, local markets and community gatherings.
  • A water play zone connected to a waterfront sandy beach.
  • Landscaping, shelter, BBQ, lighting and seating.
  • Wayfinding signage.
  • Shared paths and connection to Harts Lagoon and car park.

This project is delivered through local council.

Total investment: $904,319 (Council investment: $496,819, State Government: $400,000, Community Groups: $7,500).
